Most business premises need their extinguishers serviced once a year by a competent person, in line with the British Standard for extinguisher maintenance (BS 5306-3). Between visits, the person responsible for the building should do simple monthly checks: is each extinguisher in place, undamaged, and is the pressure gauge in the green where one is fitted? We can book your annual service in so it is not missed.

Extinguishers that have been used, damaged or reached the end of their service life need replacing. Most types also need a more thorough extended service every five years, and CO2 extinguishers need an overhaul or replacement every ten. We will tell you what is due and what can carry on.
